 BACKGROUND DATA:

Upon receiving his Master of Arts degree, Mr. Steineck assumed a position as lighting specialist representing Lee Colortran, Inc. for Candela, a lighting agency.  His position included architectural lighting design and sales as well as theatre and television lighting systems design.  Within one year, Mr. Steineck established a representative agreement with Grid Coordinates Plus, a New York City based rigging equipment manufacturer/installer, thus offering his stage and studio clients a greater range of services.  Throughout his endeavors at Candela, Mr. Steineck continued operating his Design/Production Company, which became a Pennsylvania Corporation in 1986.  In July of 1987, Mr. Steineck left Candela and sales in order to devote his full attention to lighting and theatre consulting and production design and management with his company.

He continues to maintain an active role in stage management, production management, technical coordination and lighting design with Lake Erie Ballet, Dance Erie, Squonk Opera, Maria Del Rey, Pgh. Black Theatre Dance Ensemble, Washington & Jefferson College and Urban Dance Collective.  His work has taken him to over eighty national performing arts facilities and several international venues.  This experience has proved valuable in both his lighting and theatre consulting and design.  Mr. Steineck approaches each consulting task as if he were going to mix sound in the facility, hang lights or scenery, operate the rigging system or unload scenery trucks.   It is this approach and commitment to create highly versatile, efficient, properly equipped and staffed facilities that has made him a valuable asset to his clients’ projects.
